Maciej Skorża was the Polish champion three times as a coach – twice with Wisła Kraków (2008, 2009) and with Lech Poznań (2015). In addition, he won three Polish Cups (one with Discus Thrower and two with Legia Warsaw) and the Polish Super Cup with Lech. In 2017, Pogoń Szczecin was in the lead for a short time, which under his leadership won only two and drew three out of 14 matches, being in the last place in the table. In 2018-2020, Skorża worked with the Olympic team of the United Arab Emirates (U23), but now the 48-year-old is ready to return to work and would be happy to take advantage of an interesting offer from Poland.

– At the end of the year, I would like to return to work, but in this profession you cannot plan everything. I regularly receive inquiries about returning to the Persian Gulf area, but I am waiting because I would like to choose wisely. Besides, after two years of absence in Poland, I had to sort things out: Find schools for my sons, give the family time to acclimatize. These few autumn months will give me the breath I need and after that I will be ready to return to the coaching bench – he said Leather in conversation with Interia
And he added: – Polish football is still an interesting challenge for me. IN Ekstraklasa we have many interesting teams that are constantly evolving. It’s not like I can now point to one specific one I would like to work for. For me, the biggest magnet is competition in European cups. The teams that want to fight in them are the teams for which the eye of every coach shines.
Maciej Skorża on the reasons for the failure in Pogoń Szczecin
– I saw potential in Pogoń walk about the podium and I wanted to speed things up. Unnecessarily. Anyway, it was similar in Lech. We won the championship and it seemed to me that new possibilities are just opening up for us. However, the team, together with the coach, simply needs to see certain things. I need time. But that’s behind me. We all make mistakes. The work of a trainer is no art revealed. No black magic. It’s a continuous decision: some good, some bad. Some people say that a good decision is always made and that it only becomes bad over time. Time verifies her. Sometimes this time is lacking, sometimes the pressure is very big and some things want to be done too quickly – Skorża said in an interview with Sport.pl.
