Have you ever wondered how they film the progress of the game on screen when some of the videos posted on YouTube are live broadcasts of the game? The answer is screen recording. This article will show you how to make a screen recording with internal / external audio on Mac.
[Mac]How to record screen with internal / external audio
Screenshot is a handy feature that captures an image displayed on a smartphone or PC screen and saves it as an image file. But images aren’t the only things you can store as files on your device. Smartphones and PCs have a feature that allows you to shoot and save videos as a file. This is the screen recording function.
Macs already have a screen recording feature, so there’s no need to install a dedicated app to record your screen. However, the screen recording app has a setting function that the Mac screen recording function does not have, so it is very convenient when you want to record your screen with attention to detail.
In this article, I will explain how to create a video file using the Mac screen recording feature and how to do it using a screen recording app. There are two ways to record your screen using only standard Mac functions without installing a screen recording application.
● Use “shift + command + 5” ● Using QuickTime Player
[Metodo 1]Record Mac screen with audio with “shift + command + 5”
First, I will explain how to record the screen with “shift + comma + 5”. If you record the screen with “shift + comma + 5”, you can record the internal sound of the Mac, but remember that the external sound cannot be recorded. Press the “Shift” and “Command” keys on your Mac keyboard at the same time, then press the “5” key while holding them down.
A toolbar will appear at the bottom of your desktop screen, so click the fourth “Full Screen Recording” icon from the left
–
Click “Record” at the far right of the menu bar. Start screen recording
–
If you press “shift + command + 5” again to bring up the menu bar, the “stop recording” icon will appear, then click it to stop recording
–
The created video will appear in the upper right corner of the desktop
–
Screen recording using “shift + command + 5” has not only a function to shoot the entire desktop screen in full screen, but also a function to shoot by narrowing the shooting range. Let’s see how it works.
Press “shift + command + 5” to bring up the menu bar. Click the record icon on the fifth screen from the left. A box appears to specify the interval, then drag the four corners of the box to specify the interval and click “Register”
–
If you press “shift + command + 5” again to bring up the menu bar, the “stop recording” icon will appear, then click it to stop recording
–
[Metodo 2]Record / record with audio using the standard Mac QuickTime Player function
Next, I will explain how to record screen using QuickTime Player. QuickTime Player is an application developed by Apple for playing video and audio. QuickTime Player is pre-installed on your Mac, so you don’t need to install it.
Click the “File” tab in the menu bar at the top of the desktop screen. From the drop-down menu that appears, click “New Finder Window”
–
Click “Applications” under “Frequently Used Items” to view all the apps installed on your Mac, then click “QuikTime Player”
–
Click the “File” tab in the desktop screen menu bar
–
A drop-down menu will appear, click “New Screen Recording”
–
A menu bar will appear at the bottom of the desktop screen, so click “Register”
–
[Metodo 3]Recording with audio using Soundflower
From here, we will take three apps that can record screen and introduce the operating method for screen recording. The first to introduce is “Soundflower”. “Soundflower” is an application that can be used on both Windows and Mac, but for Mac it cannot be installed unless “catalina” is installed.
Remember that “Soundflower” cannot be installed on the “mac Monterey” installed in the MacBook Air. For Mac with “mac Monterey”, please install “Background Music”. The method of operation is almost the same as “Soundflower”, so give it a try.
