Singer and teacher Maartje Van Neygen (24), daughter of the musical couple Erik and Sanne, gave birth to a son on Tuesday. The boy is called Artie. She announced the news via Instagram.

The delivery took place a lot earlier than expected, after a pregnancy of 33 weeks and one day. Artie weighs just over 2 kilograms and is 46 centimeters tall.
Van Neygen knew there was a chance of premature birth, as she often suffered from hard bellies. “It does cause me some stress,” she noted at the time. “Especially when Facebook shows me recommended articles about horror births. Fortunately Senne is here. ” Van Neygen married her boyfriend at the beginning of this year.
