I did not understand what I was accused of. I am innocent. I will give an explanation at a later stage. This was stated before the district court by the leader of the DOST party Lyutvi Mestan, who is one of the accused for causing the death of a 6-month-old baby in an accident near the village of Zagorsko.
The other accused in the case, Ussein Ahmed, the father of the dead baby, said he understood what he was accused of, but would give explanations at a later stage.
The hearing in the case of the accident near the village of Zagorsko started on Monday and will last two days with the interrogation of 25 witnesses. On the first day, 12 people had to testify. 4 of the witnesses did not appear. Two of them sent sick leaves. One of the witnesses was summoned irregularly because he was not found at the address he indicated. He was contacted by phone, but he explained that he was a doctor and was on duty on the day of the trial, so he could not come.

The court session was interrupted twice at the very beginning. The first was because Mestan’s lawyer asked the court to provide them with a desk and a chair available to the prosecutor. His motives were related to the anti-epidemic measures and the large volume of materials in the case. Court clerks had to bring a desk and two chairs.
The second interruption was necessary because the mother of the deceased case almost collapsed while the court established her identity.
