One of the regions where employment has been the least impacted by the Covid

In the midst of a demographic boom, the capital of the Gauls is a real engine of the French economy: in 10 years, it has created 125,768 jobs, specifies the study. Its vitality can also be seen in the activity of startups: Lyon is the regional metropolis with the highest number of fundraising in 2019.. And despite appearances, Lyon and the Rhône department are also one of the areas least affected by the Covid-19 crisis: “Face the unprecedented shock inflicted by the Covid-19 crisis on the French economy, Lyon is doing well: the Rhône department is one of the least affected in France in terms of job losses: -2.8%, a range “in the green” in view of the national average (-3.4%)“.

Behind Lyon, Toulouse and Bordeaux complete the podium. Concerning the large metropolises (and not the “very large” ones), Rennes Nantes and Montpellier are doing well. For the intermediate metropolises, we find Tours, Orléans and Brest. Finally, within the radius of medium-sized agglomerations, Valence, Niort and Angoulême make up the top three in that order.
