Lynx Guard Earns Fifth Career All-Star Nod

Minnesota Lynx star Kayla McBride has been named an All-Star replacement for the 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, adding another prestigious honor to her decorated career.

Team Collier Bolstered by Lynx Trio

WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert selected McBride to join Napheesa Collier and Courtney Williams on Team Collier, coached by Minnesota Lynx Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations Cheryl Reeve. This marks the fifth All-Star selection for McBride and the second time she has achieved this as a member of the Lynx.

The inclusion of three Lynx players in the All-Star Game is a significant achievement for the franchise, happening for the seventh time in team history and the first time since 2019 when Collier, Sylvia Fowles, and Odyssey Sims were all honored.

McBride’s Stellar Season Continues

In her 12th WNBA season and fifth with the Lynx, McBride is delivering an impactful performance. She’s averaging 14.1 points, 3.1 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game over 19 starts this season.

Her shooting prowess is evident as she ranks second in the league with 50 three-pointers made. McBride also recently surpassed Tangela Smith to move into 27th place all-time on the WNBA scoring list, accumulating 5,103 career points.

She was exceptional from beyond the arc, hitting 5 of 7 three-pointers, and perfect from the free-throw line, making all 6 attempts. This game also moved her into third place in Lynx franchise history for games with five or more made three-pointers.

The 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The game will be broadcast on ABC starting at 7:30 p.m. CT.
