Lynx Beat Wings 96-71: Collier, Hiedeman Lead Minnesota Victory

MINNEAPOLIS – Napheesa Collier’s 25 points⁣ and Natisha Hiedeman’s‌ first career double-double powered the ‍Minnesota Lynx to a‍ decisive 96-71 victory over the Dallas⁣ Wings on Monday night.Hiedeman finished with 20 points and a career-best 10 assists.The win solidifies⁣ the lynx’s position as the WNBA’s top seed heading⁣ into the playoffs​ with a 32-8 record, ⁤while the Wings conclude their season at ⁣9-33. Minnesota’s dominant⁣ performance showcased their offensive firepower and ‌sets a strong‌ tone as they prepare ⁤for ⁢their playoff ‌run, beginning with a three-game​ road ⁢trip ⁢starting ⁤Thursday​ at las Vegas.

Courtney Williams contributed​ 15 points and nine assists for Minnesota, and ⁢Bridget Carleton added 12. the Lynx shot an impressive 55% from the field (36 of ​65), including a 58% ‍clip from three-point range (14 of 24). Collier was a perfect 4-for-4 from ‌beyond ⁢the arc, while ‍Hiedeman​ and Carleton‌ each connected on four three-pointers. Minnesota also totaled 29 assists.

Paige‌ Bueckers led the Wings ​with 17⁣ points, while⁢ Maddy Siegrist, Amy Okonkwo, and Diamond​ Miller each scored 12. However, Dallas struggled from long⁤ range, shooting just 3 of 15, and finished ⁢the game at 39% overall.

Hiedeman ​continued ⁢her strong⁢ performance‍ in the third quarter, scoring 10 points, including a ⁤late three that gave Minnesota‌ a 71-59 lead entering the fourth. ⁣The Lynx then closed out the game with a dominant fourth quarter, outscoring the Wings⁢ 25-12.

minnesota rested kayla ⁤McBride, and DiJonai Carrington started in her place but did not play in‌ the second half due to a⁤ shoulder issue. The Wings will continue​ their ​season at Golden ⁣State.
