Imagine there is a widely announced demo against the lying press and (almost) nobody goes. No, that’s no fun. That is the summary of the demonstration last Wednesday.
The great martyrs mime on the Internet, but don’t want to forego convenience in real life. Fortunately, one has to say at this point. Yes, there was a demo on the Internet against the supposed “Lying press“Big teased. “For our future, for our freedom, for our children“Was the motto. A march should draw attention to circumstances – which, however, are not revealed exactly. Nor is it known who organized this unannounced demo.
The march should be straight Start in front of the Styria Media Center and via the Krone Center in Münzgrabenstrasse to the ORF Park to lead. We were there to talk to people and report on the demo. But there were neither interlocutors nor anything worth mentioning to report. Except the ice cream we had that day was delicious. And that tax money is being thrown away again because the police were mobilized. For the case of falls.

After a short chat with the police officers and an invitation – “you know jo join“- the march then starts long after 4:00 pm. The bottom of the demonstrating “pack” is a young couple, estimated to be in their early twenties. Their stamina may be due to their age, because before you even arrive at the Krone Center, the couple decides after a brief, obvious dispute to throw in the towel and to leave the demo. It’s going slowly. Luckily. Just enough time to get a well-deserved sugar shock in the ice cream parlor we trust, the ice pearl, which is already on the way. When we arrive at the Krone Center, the police tell us that a few people have been there. They had moved from then. Destination: the ORF Park.
