The Belarusian president traveled by helicopter, armed with an assault rifle (without a magazine) to the Independence Palace on August 23. Nearby, an opposition demonstration gathered tens of thousands of people on the same day.
According to images broadcast on August 23 by a Telegram channel close to the Belarusian leader and reported by the Russian press agency Ria, the Belarusian President descended from a helicopter in Minsk armed with an assault rifle and wearing a tactical or bulletproof vest.
According to the same source, the head of state landed near the Independence Palace in Minsk, near a demonstration which gathered thousands of opponents. He went, without dropping his weapon, near the police, whom he thanked for their work.
