The uniform and symbol of the OMON, as well as the flag “from the patriots of Belarus” with the inscription “For the Old Man” and a sculpture from the special forces became museum exhibits.

An assault rifle with which Alexander Lukashenko flew in a helicopter on August 23, 2020, during protests in Belarus, appeared in the exposition of the Palace of Independence in Minsk – the working residence of the President of Belarus.

The photo of the exposition was published by the telegram channel Pool of the First, connected with Lukashenka’s press service. “Poole already knows where on the next tour of the Palace there will be a queue of those who want to take a photo for memory,” the post of the Telegram channel says.

In addition to the machine gun, the museum exhibits include the uniform and symbol of the OMON, as well as the flag “from the patriots of Belarus” with the inscription “For the Father” and a sculpture from the special forces.

The center of the exhibition in the official residence of the President of Belarus was the picture that Lukashenka gave for the birthday of the daughter of one of the security personnel.

“Where I ran with Kolya with a gun,” – Lukashenka described the plot of the picture, adding that “it was such an important moment in my life.” “I, of course, am not an expert in art, but I liked this picture,” he said.

According to the Belarusian state agency Belta, the exposition in the Palace of Independence is dedicated to “last year’s events” in Belarus.
