Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan urges youth not to harm Indonesia in defamation trial conclusion

Menko Marves Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan asked the panel of judges for permission to convey something at the end of the trial for the defamation case with the defendant Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulidiyanti. Luhut said that currently there are many officials who work with heart and risk their lives for this country.

This was revealed by Luhut when testifying at the trial for the defamation case with the defendants Haris Azhar and Fatia Maulidiyanti at the East Jakarta District Court, Thursday (8/6/2023). Initially, Luhut asked the panel of judges for time to convey something.

Luhut thanked his questioners in the courtroom. Luhut advised young people not to harm the Indonesian state.

“Can I give a final comment if allowed? Those who thank you that today’s trial is almost over and I want to say once again to these young people thank you for being questioners and I entrust you are Indonesians so don’t hurt your own country. Our country, this country, Indonesia, continues to advance and develop in the future,” said Luhut.

Luhut asked the public not to view many of these officials as unqualified. In fact, according to Luhut, currently in Indonesia, many officials work with heart to the point of risking their lives for this country.

“And don’t see that there are many officials who are not qualified, many now have hearts and they work with heart and risk their lives for this country,” said Luhut.

“You may have never experienced that, we-we have experienced that and we also don’t want to harm what was proclaimed by the founders of this nation,” he added.

Luhut advised the public not to make conclusions before checking the data. Luhut then alluded to digital footprints that live forever.

“I will leave it once again, before you give any conclusions, look at the existing data, then you will come to a conclusion, so that no one you harm has a digital footprint, yes, it will live forever,” said Luhut.
