Ludwigsburg remains first, Bayern stay tuned

Hamburg and Crailsheim mix up the league and have established themselves above. On Sunday, the Hanseatic League took a damper at home against Chemnitz. Crailsheim did better in Vechta and won, as did front runner Ludwigsburg. In the evening Bayern won the cracker against Bamberg.

Had a creamy day: Jalen Reynolds (front).

FC Bayern Munich has won the prestige duel with the former series champion Brose Bamberg. The title contender won against the Franks on Sunday evening with 84:70 (46:41) and is third with 14: 2 points. Bamberg, on the other hand, has to fight for the playoff places with 8: 8 points after the defeat against the team of former coach Andrea Trinchieri.

18 minutes both teams were at eye level with a score of 41:41. Then the hosts left. Five points ahead at break, then the decision followed in the third quarter. At 10:10 p.m., the Munich team extended the lead and thus laid the foundation for their clear success. Jalen Reynolds was the best Bayern shooter with 17 points.

Ludwigsburg defends first place

The MHP Giants Ludwigsburg remain leaders. Thanks to the 87:72 (51:34) success against s.Oliver Würzburg, coach John Patrick’s team continues to rank first with 16: 2 points. Würzburg, on the other hand, is in the lower half of the table with 6:12 points.

Ludwigsburg already looked like the sure winner at the break and led with 51:34. The guests surprisingly came back into the game with a 15-0 run in the third round and were able to shorten it to 51:53. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the front runner was back in his usual form and in the end still won with aplomb. The Hakro Merlins Crailsheim, who won 98:81 at Rasta Vechta, are tied with the giants.

Damper for Hamburg

The Hamburg Towers, however, were outclassed in the 75:95 (33:45) home bankruptcy against the newly promoted Niners Chemnitz. For the previously so convincing North Germans it was the second defeat in the eighth game of the season. Chemnitz, on the other hand, was happy about the second success in the new season.
