Ligabue himself greets him on social media with a long post on Facebook showing a photo of the two of them together and reminding them of their recent last meeting just a month ago. “You have occupied all frequencies. From the depth of the devastating sound of your bass to your high-pitched voice, suitable for Beatles harmonies. You have always thought about defusing yourself. When it was time to choose between family and music, you were quick to decide: family is anything else. But you have always been the one who remembered best and most of all what happened to us. About twenty days ago we together with all the others did a “screaming against the sky” that should have been in front of so many people, but the virus did not allow it. It was at least nice to be together. It was good to see you in better shape than ever. Your jokes, your happiness. We will miss you very much, Luciano“. These were the words of the singer in memory of his friend.

Ghezzi began his musical career in the 1970s with guitarist Max Cottafavi and drummer Gigi Cavalli Cocchi. It was the latter who involved him in 1989 in the project of the newcomer Luciano Ligabue, who was looking for a band for the recording of his first album. Ghezzi has recorded the bass parts of the first 4 Ligabue discs and is also present in the best of “Primo tempo” and has played throughout the “Neverending tour”. With Ligabue he opened the U2 concerts in Turin and Naples in 1993. In 2011 and 2015 he took part in the editions of Campovolo.
