Luc Roduit, 9th in the first leg of the giant at Les Diablerets, conceded 2”18 to the Austrian Philipp Hoffmann, who left with the number 1. Number on a very demanding track, where eight runners among the top thirty experienced the elimination, the Versegères skier committed some inaccuracies. He was thus deviated a few times from the ideal line.
Third best Swiss, Luc Roduit can however still dream of hitting a medal since he is only 68 hundredths behind in third place occupied by Slovenian Krizaj. The Austrian really made the difference on this first track. Before and behind the Valais, the gaps are however extremely tight.
The second run will start at 2:15 p.m., 1.5 hours behind schedule due to a cable car failure.
