President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured this Thursday that Emilio Lozoya Austin, former CEO of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), will release a list with the names of all the legislators, “especially the conservative parties,” who received bribes to approve the Energy Reform in the six-year term of Enrique Peña Nieto.
At a press conference, the head of the federal Executive said that Lozoya Austin is being protected by the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), and that he is subject to process from a hospital, as part of the agreement to be collaborating witness.
“What is certain is that Mr. Lozoya is going to make known the names of all those who received money, legislators, especially from the conservative parties, and that is very important because there are two types of corrupt politicians: the corrupt cynical and the corrupt hypocrite. This is important, outside masks, is to see who were the ones who received the money and also, the evidence that has to be presented on this case. “
