Lowlands director Eric van Eerdenburg has promised to invite all Dutch artists who were booked for the festival in 2020 again next year. He tells Everyone live of the interview program Behind the Music that this does not immediately apply to all international acts.
“We will again invite the Dutch acts we booked this year to support the Dutch music industry,” says Van Eerdenburg.
The festival’s director, which takes place annually in August, explains that some artists have already pledged to go on tour and perform at Lowlands again next year, while others don’t know yet.
Van Eerdenburg has not yet decided whether he will send all international artists an invitation again next year. “There are some that we don’t know about yet. We also need to be a bit opportunistic. Where we didn’t figure out last year with certain artists and thought, we’ll just do it, it may get even better now,” he says. about the line-up.
The 2020 line-up included The Chemical Brothers, Liam Gallagher, London Grammar and Lewis Capaldi. Dutch artists such as The Opposites, Typhoon and Eefje de Visser were also booked.
