Magdeburg’s Rorig is moving to third division club Osnabrück

Osnabrück (dpa / lni) – Third division football club VfL Osnabrück has brought defender Henry Rorig from second division promoted 1. FC Magdeburg. “By signing Henry Rorig, we want to further increase the competition for the right-back position,” said VfL sporting director Amir Shapourzadeh on Tuesday. The club did not provide any information about the contract period of the 22-year-old.
Rorig was trained in the youth academies of Hannover 96, VfL Wolfsburg and SV Werder Bremen. Born in Langenhagen, he moved from Werder to Magdeburg for the 2020/21 season after his time in the youth team. There he completed 28 competitive games and scored two goals.
