The government has decided to freeze electricity prices in 2023 for households. In order to use the prices starting from 2022, some conditions must be met, including the presentation of a specific document to the energy company that will give us the right to increase the limit.
Electricity price freeze will apply to farms, which will consume no more than 2,000 kWh of energy per year. In the case of families where people with disabilities reside, it will be 2,600 kWh. Big Family Card holders will be able to use up to 3,000 kWh of electricity. A further condition for benefiting from the reduction in electricity prices will be the need to submit a specific application to an energy company. This information should be confirmed with the relevant documents.
The energy company must receive the documents certifying the disability or a certificate certifying the possession of a Large Family Card in order to be able to apply the tariff taking into account the cases indicated above.
We recall that the draft presented by the Minister for the climate and the environment was adopted in connection with the situation of the electricity market, as part of the so-called Dello Solidale Shield. This is to cover all households in the country from January 1, 2023.
