National coach Joachim Löw is expecting a tight Champions League final between FC Bayern and Paris St. Germain, but keeps his fingers crossed for his former assistant Hansi Flick.

“That Hansi Flick would be particularly happy in the case of Bayern’s Champions League victory,” said Löw in an interview on dfb.de, “because of my special and friendly relationship with Hansi, Thomas Tuchel will surely see to me.”
The 60-year-old sees Bayern and the PSG coached by Tuchel at eye level ahead of the premier class final on Sunday: “The chances in this final are 50:50 for me. If both teams show what they can do, if both make full use of their offensive, playful and tactical potential, then we will experience a first-class exchange on Sunday. “
Löw was also “incredibly” happy about RB Leipzig’s semi-finals. The fact that three German coaches, Julian Nagelsmann (Leipzig), Tuchel (PSG) and Flick, were among the last four teams, “is a strong exclamation point for German football”.
