Loveparade 2.0: More than 200,000 party people at “Rave The Planet” in Berlin

Around 200,000 people attended the new techno spectacle “Rave The Planet” by Loveparade founder Dr. Moth celebrated in downtown Berlin.

The estimate was called by the police on Sunday morning.

The organizers even assumed at least 300,000 participants on Saturday, according to a spokeswoman for the German Press Agency.

The noisy procession of 18 music floats with around 150 artists started on Saturday afternoon at Kurfürstendamm and for hours had moved along a seven-kilometer route past Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburg Gate to the Victory Column.

People danced and celebrated exuberantly and peacefully. Around 600 police officers secured the move.

The police did not have a final balance sheet on Sunday morning.
