Love in Vietnam: China Release & 10,000 Screen Deal

Bollywood musical ⁣’Love ⁢in Vietnam‘ Secures⁢ Landmark 10,000-Screen release in China

The upcoming Bollywood ⁤musical romance “Love in ‍Vietnam” has landed a significant ⁤international distribution deal, securing a release across 10,000 screens in China for a Christmas 2025 rollout.Shanghai YC‍ Media and Film acquired the distribution⁢ rights for the film,marking a major​ milestone for ‌Indian cinema in the Chinese market.

The film, directed⁣ by Rahat Shah Kazmi and starring Shantanu Maheshwari, Avneet Kaur, Vietnamese actor kha Gnan, and Bollywood veterans ⁢Farida Jalal and Raj Babbar, is a rare cinematic collaboration between ⁢India and Vietnam. It’s set to release ⁤in India on September 12th.⁢ The China deal ⁣was ‍finalized even prior to⁤ the Indian​ theatrical debut, a move ⁤director kazmi calls “historic.”

“‘Love in Vietnam’ has ⁤been a dream project. We have put our heart and ⁣soul into this film, and it is truly⁢ a‌ matter of pride as‌ we have created history‍ by acquiring 10,000 ‌screens in China even before our India⁤ release,” said Kazmi.

The film was shot across locations in Vietnam and‍ Punjab, india,​ and is produced by Captain Rahul Bali, Blue Lotus⁤ Pictures, ⁢Innovations India, ​Rahat Kazmi Film Studios, And​ productions, Zebaish Entertainment, ‍Tariq Khan Productions, ​Mango Tree Entertainment, ‌and Samten Hills, Dalat.

Umesh ⁤Kumar Bansal, CBO of Zee Studios, emphasized the film’s global‌ appeal, stating, “‘Love in Vietnam’ is a touching love story ⁢and a‌ film that we truly believe ​in. Love ‌is something that transcends across countries ‌and continents and ‘Love in Vietnam’ perfectly does that.⁤ The ⁣film shall release in China across 10,000 screens during Christmas 2025 which is historic.”

Jessica​ zhen, partner in the international film‌ distribution division ‌at Shanghai YC Media​ & Film, highlighted the ⁢film’s‍ emotional resonance and inspiration from ‍the bestseller “Madonna in⁢ a Fur Coat” as key factors in their‌ decision. “When our team watched the film’s rough cut, we became so ⁣attached ‍to it. It is not just a film, but a journey of emotions‍ that ​touches your heart,‍ irrespective of language⁤ and cultural barriers,” Zhen said.⁢ Girish Johar,⁢ head of distribution and revenues ⁢at Zee Studios, added that the film’s ‍”indigenous story with an international touch” is expected to⁤ resonate with⁣ audiences globally.
