Lots of Anelka’s open letters, Mbappe asked to leave PSG

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Former France national team striker Nicolas anelka wrote an open letter asking for a young striker Kylian Mbappe leave Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

Anelka’s writing was crowded after it was reported by The Athletic. In his opinion, Anelka advised Mbappe to continue to work hard and score goals to forget the bad moments at Euro 2020.

At Euro 2020 Mbappe was in a slump. Not only failed to score, but Mbappe was also the cause of France’s defeat to Switzerland after his penalty was saved by goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

The accusation against Mbappe after Les Bleus was kicked out was considered by Anelkan as an atrocity. Previously, Mbappe was one of France’s stars when they won the 2018 World Cup.

After France were eliminated from the Euros, rumors of Mbappe’s transfer heated up. The former AS Monaco player is rumored to be reluctant to extend his contract with PSG which runs out in 2022.

So far, Real Madrid is said to be the club most interested in the 22-year-old. In the midst of these transfer rumors, Anelka came with an open letter advocating Mbappe to leave PSG.

“If you want the highest honors, you have to leave PSG. Whatever you do in Paris will be good,” Anelka said. Sport.

“But you will always have someone telling you: ‘That’s what you do at PSG, but that’s only in France'” Anelka added.

Anelka not only talked about Mbappe having to leave PSG, the former Chelsea and Madrid player also mentioned the Premier League as one of the competitions the Paris-born striker should try.

“You can’t compare yourself to the best when you are at PSG. Ligue 1 is not easy, don’t get me wrong, but I think the most difficult league is England,” said Anelka.

“So if you want to be one of the best, you have to do what you did with PSG at Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City or Liverpool.”

The 42-year-old former player also did not forget to mention Madrid, Barcelona or the Italian League as Mbappe’s future goals.

It’s just that, in the news RMC Sports Anelka denied suggesting Mbappe leave PSG in an open letter.

“A few weeks ago I said that he doesn’t have to leave PSG to win the Champions League, but that doesn’t mean today there is a statement otherwise,” said Anelka.

“He has to measure himself against others in other competitions, that means he has to leave PSG after his contract expires in 2022,” Anelka added.
