Red Cross Youth carries out a collection of toys, this Wednesday and Thursday, on the ground floor of the shopping center
Donate toys and clothes, support the artisan work of people with different abilities, offer food for the most needy families or support the research work of organizations against cancer. These are some of the proposals that the Los Arcos shopping center has prepared for the Christmas season and in collaboration with different social entities and the San Pablo-Santa Justa District.
The activities, which will start this Wednesday and Thursday with the Red Cross Youth toy collection campaign, offer “a leisure alternative away from the purest retail and that seeks to promote the social commitment of the environment,” according to its organizers.
In this way, the first shopping center in the city has installed several solidarity spaces and that, on its ground floor next to the left luggage area, will have the traditional Red Cross Youth toy collection campaign. It will take place this Wednesday and Thursday from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 18.00 to 20.30, and with SOS Ayuda Sin Fronteras.
Later, this Thursday and Friday, SOS Ayuda Sin Fronteras will kick off its ‘Sheltering Christmas’ campaign where it will collect clothes and food for the neediest families in the city. This entity will have, this Thursday, with the animation of the rociero choir ‘Asociación de Vecinos El Pueblo’, which will perform in the Plaza de la Moda.
As of December 8 and for the benefit of the association against breast cancer ‘Amama’, the shopping center will have a gift packaging service on its ground floor, next to the left luggage area. Los Arcos, in addition to giving up the space, will make available to this association all the necessary material for wrapping the gifts. Anyone who wishes can make a donation so that ‘Amama’ can continue its work to support those affected by breast cancer.
But if something identifies Christmas in Los Arcos, it is the solidarity Nativity of the San Pelayo Foundation that returns this year after the pandemic with more figures and new scenographies. This Nativity, prepared, designed and assembled by the children of CEP San Pelayo, can be visited from this Saturday, December 4.
Likewise, on the next 16 the Los Arcos shopping center by the Red Cross will offer a group of thirty children the possibility of spending an afternoon full of Christmas sensations: visit the solidarity nativity scene of the San Pelayo Foundation, some photographs can be taken in Selfie spots installed around the venue, they will ride the Christmas train from the shopping center and have a snack typical of the time.
PLAYFUL ACTIVITIES
Los Arcos will once again have the Christmas children’s train that will run through the ground floor of the shopping center. To this unique train will be added the arrival of Santa Claus, who will be on weekdays in the afternoon from 7 to 23 December and on weekends in the morning and afternoon. Together with his elves, he will share laughter with the little ones of the house on the top floor of the shopping center. After Santa Claus, in the rest area of Las Palmeras, will be the Three Wise Men with their camels, from December 27 to January 4.
Los Arcos will also set up an Advent Calendar with daily prizes from this Wednesday. Among all the participants, through the LosArcos Club app and who come to collect their prize, a Play 5 will be raffled.
On the other hand and as a culmination to the Christmas activities of the shopping center, on January 4 in the afternoon, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Royal Court of the District will visit Los Arcos and will be animating Christmas next to the great tree of The arches.
