A lorry driver has died following a major incident on the M8 motorway in Glasgow where a trailer load of timber crashed onto the carriageway.Emergency services responded to the scene near junction 25, westbound, at approximately 09:30 GMT on September 30, 2023.
The incident caused notable disruption to traffic, with the M8 westbound fully closed between junctions 24 and 26 for several hours as police investigated and worked to clear the wreckage. Authorities have confirmed that the driver of the lorry was pronounced dead at the scene.
