President Andrés Manuel López Obrador this Friday morning asked the journalist Carlos Loret de Mola to present before the Attorney General’s Office the videos that he published yesterday on the Latinus portal, where Pío, brother of the President, is observed receiving two packages of money in 2015.
“This revelation, these videos that Loret de Mola presented must be delivered to the Attorney General of the Republic, Loret de Mola must file a complaint so that the corresponding investigation can begin, “he said. from Aguascalientes in his morning conference.
The videos, according to Carlos Loret, were taken by David León and show two occasions in that year when he gave 400 thousand and then one million pesos to Pío and asks him to let him know “to the lawyer, that we are supporting him”.
The President stated that he knew of the videos for five days. “I suggested (to David León) that he not accept the appointment to take over the company that will distribute medicines,” he said.
After the videos were released, León tweeted that they were resources that he collected from acquaintances and minutes later that he would not protest a new position in the Ministry of Health until this issue was resolved.
López Obrador assured that he is willing to go to a public ministry to testify about the videos, he recalled that it would not be the first time he does so.
“Of course I am willing, it would not be the first time that I would go to the public ministry,” he said.
“If I go, let the Prosecutor’s Office decide and I would recommend both Pio and David with all due respect, they are free, they don’t protect themselves, they show their faces,” he said.
