A few dozen passers-by are standing at the side of the road and excitedly taking pictures. It’s not that the Romans still wonder about animals in their city. There are enough on the way, seagulls, rats, beavers, wild boars in packs. But elephants on the Fori Imperiali? That’s a different number.
