Loan or insurance: what is the right to be forgotten?

The right to be forgotten concerns borrower insurance, insurance allowing lending institutions (banks, credit organizations) to protect themselves in case of disability or of death of subscriber, who could then no longer repay his monthly payments. Not mandatory under French law, this borrower insurance is however very often requested by financial institutions lending money. And it is almost always required of people wishing to obtain a mortgage.
