Liverpool’s secret of invincibility without Salah and Mane

Liverpool having a good trend and going unbeaten despite having to play without Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane who is playing in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Liverpool lost Salah, Mane, and also Naby Keita who appeared to defend their respective countries in the African Cup of Nations. But the Reds managed to show a solid and unbeaten performance since their African stars were absent.

“We could have done without them. We have to try to create chances, because we lost pace on the wings, something that Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have.”

“If we don’t have that, of course we have to change the way we enter the opposition area,” Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp was quoted as saying on the club’s official website.

Since Salah and Mane left, Liverpool have played five games with four wins and one draw. Liverpool also successfully ensured qualification for the League Cup final and advanced in the FA Cup.

Klopp did not hesitate to praise the players who performed brilliantly during their African stars’ absence.

“The players are doing their job well again. Ox [Alex Oxlade Chamberlain] got his name back on the scoreboard, one of the important goals in this game.”

“Diogo Jota also performed well in many situations. Bobby’s performance [Roberto Firmino] also amazing. The lads really put a good team together and I’m really happy about that,” Klopp said.

Liverpool is currently in second place in the Premier League with a score of 48 points, nine points behind Manchester City, who is the leader of the standings. The Reds still have one game left and have the opportunity to cut the difference of nine points.
