Liverpool takes over Thiago for 27.5 million euros from Bayern Munich | NOW

Thiago Alcántara continues his career at Liverpool. The English national champion took over the 29-year-old midfielder on Friday for 27.5 million euros, including bonuses, from Bayern Munich. Gonzalo Higuain leaves Internazionale and joins Inter Miami.

Thiago, who signs a contract for four seasons according to British media, had submitted a departure wish to the club management of Bayern Munich in July, because he was ready for a new challenge after seven seasons.

29-year-old Thiago played 235 games for Bayern Munich, which took him over from FC Barcelona for 25 million in 2013. With the Spanish superpower, the 39-time Spanish international was the regular back-up behind Xavi, Iniesta and Sergio Busquets.

The arrival of Thiago may have consequences for Georginio Wijnaldum. The Orange-international has an expiring contract and has been explicitly associated with a transfer to FC Barcelona from Ronald Koeman in recent weeks. On Saturday he was still the basic player in the first league match of Liverpool, at home against Leeds United (4-3).

Higuain reunites with Matuidi at Inter Miami

Higuaín continues his career in the United States. On Thursday, Juventus already announced that the Argentinian’s one-year contact was broken. Higuain will make a commitment in Florida until the end of 2022.

The 32-year old Higuain will be reunited with Blaise Matuidi at Inter Miami, which will make its debut in Major League Soccer next season. The Frenchman already relocated to the club earlier this summer, which David Beckham is co-owner of.
