LIVE – Pension reform: the government “takes note” of the CFDT financing conference proposal

SURVEY

Two thirds of French people are against the pivotal age, according to a survey by the Elabe Institute for Opinion. Conversely, the establishment of a points scheme and the merger of the 42 schemes into a single, universal scheme are approved. In total, more than one in two respondents is opposed to the reform of the state.

Similarly, 53% of those questioned support it, against 38% who oppose it.

Responsibility for prolonging the conflict goes more to the government (43%) than to the unions (23%). Respondents also point out, at 62%, the apparent contradiction between the desire to establish a universal regime and the concessions granted to certain categories, while judging these concessions legitimate (56%).
