The number of corona patients in hospital is now 555, reports the National Coordination Center for Patient Distribution (LCPS). That is 8 more than Friday. 433 of them are not in intensive care. So there are 122 patients on the IC, which is 6 more than the day before.
600 people lie on the ic’s for reasons other than corona, 12 more than Friday. In the past 24 hours, 9 clinical and 2 ic patients have been moved between regions to distribute pressure.

During the first corona wave, the ratio between corona patients in the ICU and those in the regular wards was approximately one to two. Now there are four in the normal ward for every patient on the ic, says the Dutch Internists Association (NIV).
“At the moment it is being investigated whether the developments in the treatment of Covid-19 mean that many more patients can now be treated in the regular ward than in the IC,” said the organization. It is concerned. “Internists now handle most of the care in the Covid-19 wards.
