LIVE – Coronavirus: 34 dead in Iran

CREIL ET COMPIÈGNE

About 200 hospital workers working in the hospitals of Creil and Compiègne, in Oise, are currently confined to their homes as a precautionary measure after having watched two patients infected with the coronavirus.

At the Creil hospital – which took care of the 60-year-old teacher who died on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday for six days – nearly 80 agents have to stay at home for 14 days. Nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, maintenance workers, Smur and emergency teams … “90% of resuscitation personnel, who have 15 beds, are confined,” said Corinne Delys, secretary general of the CGT of the establishment. The Hauts-de-France Regional Health Agency therefore closed the adult resuscitation service and the continuing care unit until March 10, inclusive.

At Compiègne hospital, where another patient now hospitalized at the CHU d’Amiens, “117 agents who have had contact with the patient are subject to checks and are subject to isolation measures at home”, said the mayor of Compiègne Philippe Marini. The resuscitation service “is still operating but with a capacity of six beds instead of 15, in particular thanks to voluntary staff from other services,” he said.

A white plan – the maximum mobilization system planned to deal with exceptional health situations – was launched in the two hospitals. But according to the GHPSO “there is no danger” for visitors “to date”.
