‘Enzo Ferrari had treated Vettel with more respect’
Sebastian Vettel has to leave Ferrari at the end of 2020 and it looks like his last season in Italian service is going to be a bit of a divorce. Mauro Forghieri, a designer at Ferrari in the 60s, 70s and 80s, attributes this in part to the way Ferrari’s current management, with team principal Mattia Binotto, deals with the situation. “I don’t like to bring in Enzo Ferrari precisely because I really knew him and I know there are things attributed to him that he would never have done. He’s a legend, ”Forghieri told opposite Daily. “But I’m sure he would have acted very differently in parting with Seb, he would have treated him with a lot more respect.”
