A 14-month-old girl was stabbed in the stomach at her home in Brooklyn and police are investigating whether her 9-year-old brother may have attacked her, according to police sources cited by the Daily News.
The incident occurred at 5 p.m. Tuesday in an apartment located on Jefferson Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Police found the boy in his bed upon arrival at the scene, where a bloody knife was found.
Doctors took the girl to Bellevue Hospital in critical but stable condition.
His brother, diagnosed with autism, was taken to Kings County Hospital for a psychological evaluation, law enforcement sources said.
The children’s grandmother was at home during the incident, but police did not release further details.
