As the group member Roberts Vanags remembers: “When we started to select the repertoire for this concert program, we asked our friends and relatives what their favorite Latvian film songs are. My mother especially highlighted one of her lovers – Raimonds Pauls'” Ances romance “from the film” Klāvs – Mārtiņa None of us had seen this film at the time, but an emotional song was heard somewhere, by the tip of my ear. Now a new arrangement has been born for this song – in an energetic range. The message of the song is very melancholic – experienced beautiful love, like everything in this After the sweet flowering summer, autumn arrives and “well the leaves are falling like tears” sang the main character Elza Radziņa.

The recording of the song “Ances romance” performed by “Carnival Youth” was produced by Gatis Zaķis and it was created with the funding of the “LaIPA” scholarship.
A text video has also been created for the version of the song “Carnival Youth”, which shows footage from the film “Klāvs – Mārtiņš son” by director Oļģerts Dunkers. The creative team of the company “Creators 22” worked on the text video and the archives of the Latvian State Archival Document of the Latvian National Archive were used in its creation.

As the representatives of the group remind, on September 29, the Latvian cinema music concert series “Naive Ku-ku” will start with a concert in Ādaži, during which “Carnival Youth” will also perform in Smiltene, Gulbene, Sigulda, Riga, Kuldiga, Bauska, Rezekne, Aluksne, Talsi, Liepaja and Ventspils. As the tour organizers remind, many concerts are already sold out.

Information about concerts where tickets are still available can be found both on the group’s website and at “Biļešu paradīze” box offices or on the Internet. The concert program will consist of the brightest pearls of soundtracks that have become classics – from the compositions of Imants Kalniņš and Raimonds Pauls to the songs of contemporary musicians.
