List of Cellular Operators with the Fastest Internet, the Winner?

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Speedtest, an internet speed test site owned by Ookla, has named PT Telekomunikasi Seluler (Telkomsel) as the cellular operator with the highest internet speed in the third quarter of 2021. With a speed score of 30.49.

The second place is IM3 Ooredoo with a score of 25.68. Next is XL Axiata with a score of 23.93. Then Smartfren with a score of 19.03 and Tri Indonesia with a score of 15.52, as quoted from its website Friday (22/10/2021).

To conduct this research, Speedtest uses up to a smartphone powered by a chip with the latest network technology to calculate the internet experience and performance of Indonesian cellular operators.

This speed ranking is presented in the form of a Speed ​​Score where 90% of the weighting is based on download speed and 10% of upload speed.

In terms of consistency, Telkomsel remains in first place with 85.7% results. Speedtest records that at least Telkomsel’s minimum download speed reaches 5 Mbps and at least 1 Mbps for upload speed.

The next ranks are XL Axiata 82.7%, IM3 Ooredoo 82.6%, Tri Indonesia 79.1%, and Smartfren 68.2%.

Speedtest determined Makassar city as the city with the fastest internet from the download side reaching 25.3 Mbps. Furthermore, Jakarta with 24.31 Mbps, Bekasi 23.55 Mbps, Tangerang 23.37 Mbps, Depok 22.74 Mbps, and Surabaya 22.36 Mbps.
