List of 6 League 1 clubs that issued the aftermath of the Kanjuruhan tragedy

Six clubs League 1 2022/2023 took a stand on the transformation of Indonesian football as a result The Kanjuruhan tragedy. Here are five clubs that have issued the aftermath of the Kanjuruhan tragedy.

So far, five clubs have publicly stated their position regarding the future of Indonesian football following the Kanjuruhan tragedy which killed 135 people.

Some of them have asked PSSI to hold an Extraordinary Congress (KLB) to replace the leadership of the Indonesian football federation. Furthermore, there are also clubs that are not calling for KLB, but are calling for the transformation of Indonesian football to be accelerated.

Below is a list of six Liga 1 clubs that issued the aftermath of the Kanjuruhan tragedy:

1. Persis Solo

Persis Solo president and director Kaesang Pangarep encouraged PSSI to hold an outbreak in the aftermath of the Kanjuruhan tragedy. He is trying to get the support of several national soccer teams.

The attitude of the head of Persis Solo was conveyed after a meeting with the former president of Persebaya Surabaya Azrul Ananda.

The son of the President of the Indonesian Republic Joko Widodo said that his party was preparing a draft letter to be sent to the PSI.

In addition to Persebaya, Kaesang claims to have had discussions with many other League 1 clubs such as Bali United, Rans Nusantara and Barito Putera.

2. Persebaya Surabaya

Persebaya Surabaya also took a stand to ask PSSI to keep a KLB. This was communicated when club representatives met with Persis Solo on Monday (24/10).

During the meeting, both sides agreed that PSSI should immediately hold an outbreak in the aftermath of the Kanjuruhan tragedy and the Bandung Sea of ​​Fire tragedy.

In addition, Persebaya asked PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) to hold a general meeting of shareholders (GMS) to discuss the fate of the competition.
