List of 6 Indonesian representatives at BWF World Tour 2022 Finals

Indonesia sent six badminton players BWF World Tour Finals 2022. Gregoria Mariska Tunjung became the latest delegate whose participation was confirmed.

As known, the calculation of road points for the 2022 BWF World Tour Final ended after the Australian Open which also concluded on November 20th. Several representatives confirmed their participation as BWF also officially released the list of players who qualified on November 22nd.

Indonesia itself has previously confirmed that five of its representatives will participate in the championship which will compete for a total prize of $1.5 million.

Namely two men’s doubles reps, two men’s singles reps, and one mixed doubles rep. Later, it turned out that Indonesia got another share from the female singles industry.

Most recently, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, who previously held prime reserve status, was finally able to participate in the tournament which is the culmination of BWF tour events so far this year.

She got the ticket after PP PBSI received a letter of invitation to participate from BWF for Gregoria after one of the eight women’s singles participants withdrew. But BWF did not reveal who the retired badminton player is.

In fact, Gregoria is currently in 13th position in the “Race to BWF World Tour FinalsBut by regulation it occupies the first number of the waiting list.

The BWF World Tour 2022 Finals will be held at Nimibutr Arena, Bangkok, Thailand from December 7 to 11. Only the matches of the top 8 players in the BWF Tour points accumulation table from five sectors were presented in this event.
