Liquidity for self-employed / freelancers / entrepreneurs – credit and loans for self-employed

Allianz credit expert Jens Schmidt (52) is an experienced entrepreneur. He advises the self-employed free of charge on how to get through the crisis safely. Tel. 0421-83673100

Crisis, corona, lockdown – entrepreneurs, self-employed and freelancers have some hurdles to overcome in these times. Jens Schmidt (52), Allianz credit expert and entrepreneur himself for a quarter of a century, offers the self-employed helpful support.

“Most of the self-employed currently have a liquidity problem. Health insurers and social insurers seldom give a respite. Suppliers want to be paid or stop delivering. However, if nothing or only a little is currently being paid for, support payments are a long time coming or if you cannot apply for at all, the house bank usually closes down, ”says Schmidt, who has decades of experience in retail and mail order as well as an independent service provider.

The trained banker and insurance specialist knows the situation of the self-employed only too well. “The banks borrow an umbrella and when it rains they want it back”. Jens Schmidt offers the self-employed and entrepreneurs three selected measures, now generate liquidity, secure deliveries and thus get through the crisis better.

1. LONG-TERM LOAN – gain liquidity quickly:
Schmidt offers a special loan for entrepreneurs who own paid, owner-occupied property in Germany. For married couples, a borrower must be at least 60 years old. Parents or grandparents of self-employed people who are willing to help their children or grandchildren in this way can also be considered as borrowers.

Advantage: The loan does NOT have to be paid back during the lifetime of the borrower! The borrower only pays the favorable interest with his monthly loan installment (as of 12.12.2020: about 1.X%, loan amount 100,000 EUR, 25-year fixed interest rate, up to 40% of the mortgage lending value of the property). This means that an entrepreneur is only minimally burdened and can plan for the long term. A corresponding pension or salary and an impeccable credit rating are required.

2. RENTAL DEPOSIT – Convert cash deposit for rented rooms into a deposit guarantee:
Many self-employed work (and live) in rented or leased premises. They had to leave a rent deposit for these areas when the contract was signed. Often cash has flowed here, which the landlord or lessor has kept or invested.

It is possible to have this cash paid out by the landlord and instead give him a bond guarantee from Allianz. This can quickly generate a few thousand euros, both commercially and privately (for self-employed and freelancers for their own rented apartment) – with very manageable fees.

The landlord has no disadvantages by accepting the guarantee. He can demand the security deposit from Allianz if the tenant is behind schedule. The self-employed as a tenant (private) or leaseholder (commercial) quickly gains liquidity that already belongs to them.

TRADE CREDIT INSURANCE – protect deliveries and services against payment default:
Jens Schmidt offers credit insurance for small and medium-sized businesses. To this end, Allianz has taken over the major credit insurer EULER HERMES, which is known throughout Europe. The self-employed can secure all of their sales through Jens Schmidt, even if they are in default!

Because: If customers don’t pay their bills, this can quickly become a problem for small and medium-sized companies. Allianz expert Jens Schmidt protects the self-employed against payment defaults via EULER HERMES – and that with little effort. Such a credit insurance (also known as trade credit insurance) protects especially smaller companies that supply other companies from the default of receivables and ensures secure payment flows.

The ingenious: Outstanding debts are insured at a flat rate of 60% without checking – no forms, no risk assessment of individual customers, no administrative effort! The self-employed are sure to get their money in the future, despite an expected flood of company insolvencies and bankruptcies.

With the additional BoniCheck, the self-employed can check the creditworthiness of their customers online and thus increase the guaranteed coverage of their outgoing invoice to a whopping 90%. This works for all claims of over 250 euros, in Germany and almost everywhere in Europe, Canada and even the USA. EULER HERMES already pays for the business partner in default of payment and is the perfect solution for small businesses and self-employed with an annual turnover of up to 5 million euros.
