Lion Air fails to fly to Jambi, hundreds of passengers use replacement aircraft

Planes Leo air with flight number Boeing-737, the Jambi-Jakarta route experienced a disturbance before the flight. The disturbance forced hundreds of passengers from the plane to disembark.

Sultan Thaha Saifudin Jambi Airport Executive Director General (EGM), Siswanto, said the hundreds of passengers flying to Jakarta had already received compensation from the airline. He also said hundreds of passengers have flown back on replacement planes.

“Yes, earlier there was a plane that failed to fly, so the passengers had to wait at the airport. While at the airport, the passengers also received compensation from the airline according to the regulations, such as water supply mineral, snackand compensation money,” Siswanto said, as reported by detikSumatraSunday (4/12/2022).

The Lion Air plane, which was scheduled to depart Jambi for Jakarta at 0600 WIB, failed to fly as it was reported to be having problems. As a result, hundreds of passengers who were due to fly at 0600 WIB did not depart.

“He was supposed to fly earlier at 0600 WIB from Jambi to Jakarta, yes. But as an indicator appeared and was detected, this is what needed to be fixed so he would not be allowed to fly,” Siswanto said.
