Lille’s Renewables Protest Continues Until Thursday

Motion of the staff of FASEST and the University of Lille invited to a general assembly at the initiative of the ClerséThe staff of FASEST and the University of Lille invited to a General Assembly (GA) at the initiative of the Clersé, meeting on Monday March 20, 2023, call following the intersite GA of the University of Lille from Friday March 17 to the renewable strike from Monday March 20 to Thursday March 23 (voted by 47 votes for, one abstention and one person not taking part in the vote). During this period, we call for the suspension of courses, research activities and administrative activities in order to signify our disagreement with the pension reform and the use of 49.3 to pass it.
The GA is firmly against the use of distance learning and denounces the injunction made to our colleagues at the Pont de Bois and Moulins sites to switch their courses to distance learning. This is not an acceptable teaching modality and deeply harms the transmission of knowledge and the mental health of our students. The GA also denounces the incentive to distance (excluding days already planned for teleworking) made to BIATSS staff to telework on days of national strike and mobilization.
Between Monday March 20 and Friday March 24, we are calling for:
– 1) mobilization by all means and in dialogue with students and colleagues, in particular via tours of offices, classrooms, and lecture halls, to inform about the movement and the strike fund as well as the actions to be taken. come,
-2) a public discussion with students and staff at Place du Cèdre (between SH2 and SH3) on Tuesday March 21,
– 3) participation in the demonstration on Thursday March 23 at 2:30 p.m. Porte de Paris in Lille,
-4) a FASEST GA at 10 a.m. in the conference room before going to the inter-site GA of the University of Lille on Friday 24 March.

Information, contacts and inclusion in initiatives: room 213 of SH2 or via mobilized colleagues.
