Liliana Martínez, the Colombian muralist who expresses her art in Germany


Liliana Martínez is a native of Cali, but from Barranquilla at heart, who for several years decided to express her artistic gift in the streets of Germany as a reflection of her love for Colombia. In the middle of her tour of the country she painted this work, alluding to an Amazonian girl who was later acquired by the representative of foreigners from the area in Bavaria, Germany.

Thanks to his love for Colombian culture, he is dedicated to capturing through art the different ethnic groups that characterize his native country. One of his passions is attributed to murals, where he did not miss the opportunity to leave his mark. This work carried out with some children from Russia and Ukraine was entrusted to them with an allusive motif to the sea.

Due to her success as an artist, the Colombian has made some donations of her works, among them this one where a girl belonging to the Guambiano community of southwestern Colombia is observed. She also indicated that she gave it to the Consul of Colombia in the city of Miami, United States.

Throughout his career he has been able to make several exhibitions, in which he has captured different representative animals of the fauna of the region, such as this macaw, which was also exhibited in the city of Hornbach, also in Germany.

Likewise, Martínez has been able to tour various parts of the European country taking art with him. This work depicting a tiger was published in an exhibition at Prunn Castle, in Riedenburg, Germany.

In this other painting, an Amazonian Tikuna girl is reflected. Martínez explained to EL HERALDO that she considers herself a passionate woman when it comes to showing the culture of her region.

The titi monkeys have also been part of his career as an artist. This work belongs to an exhibition called ‘Encantadores’ held this year.
