Therefore, the use of fuel should not be arbitrary. The manufacturer itself has basically recommended the use of RON 92 on LCGC with the aim of maintaining engine performance.
Technically, LCGC engines account for low carbon emissions. That is, if you use a minimum of 92 RON fuel, the combustion results will be more perfect.

However, in reality, many LCGC owners use fuel beyond specifications. Example Pertalite with RON 90 whose purchases will soon be limited.
Although cheaper, the use of fuel that is not according to the manufacturer’s recommendations can create problems in the future.
The Head of Honda Kusuma Workshop, Teguh Dwi Harianto, said that there were some light to moderate damage effects that could occur to a number of components.
With the use of fuel that is not suitable for LCGC, in this case gasoline with an octane of 90 and below, the impact can cause tickle or knocking.
“Low octane fuel is not as recommended, long-term components such as gasoline filters and fuel tanks get dirty quickly. For the combustion system, the life of the spark plugs is also shorter,” he told Kompas.comWednesday (29/6/2022).

Teguh continued, consuming 90 octane and below is not recommended because there is mud that settles in the fuel tank.
In addition, the fuel circulation path is also at risk of getting clogged quickly, especially the gasoline filter is easily contaminated with dirt that rises from the tank.
“The fuel filter also gets dirty quickly, the system nozzle injector clogged fuel fogging is not perfect,” he said.
