It had been written for a while now, it will be official in the coming hours: Paulo Sousa and the Girondins de Bordeaux have reached an agreement to ratify the departure of the Portuguese technician.

It is therefore against the Stade de Reims on Saturday that Paulo Sousa led the Girondins for the last time. And it is with a 4-0 success that the Portuguese technician will have completed his mandate at the head of the Navy and White. The epilogue of a soap opera which began on July 2 is about to fall: Sousa will not be Bordeaux’s coach this season. The technician (49 years old) arrived on the Gironde bench on March 8, 2019. The two parties have reached a financial agreement to end their collaboration. Trained at the club in the early 1980s and player from 1985 to 1989 and from 2000 to 2002, the native of Brive (52) already held this position at PSG from 2006 to 2011. The officialization should take place early next week .
