Lightning Make Low-Annual Salary Offer to Alex Killorn for Long-Term Stay

According Elliotte FriedmanThe Lightning have reportedly made a long-term, low-annual salary offer to winger Alex Killorn.

The 33-year-old is coming off his best season in which he has scored 27 goals and 37 assists in 82 games and has the most points of any player who will be on the open market. After playing on a $4.45 million contract that has been favorable to the team for the past two seasons, Killorn will have the chance to get a sizable raise if he becomes UFA.

Will he want to stay on the team that won him 2 Stanley Cups and try to win a third or will he follow the money and move elsewhere? We will find out in the next few weeks.
