For several weeks now, GNTM finalist Lijana Hass has been fighting online. The hostility has now become a reality: the top model candidate needs police protection. In the GNTM final, she draws the consequences.
The dream of “Germany’s next top model “final has become an ordeal for Lijana: The 23-year-old receives death threats, as she did in an interview with the “Picture”– Newspaper tells. In addition, Lijana was “spat on on the street, my car was refilled, my dog should be poisoned”. To do this, poison bait would have been laid out in their garden. “That’s why I even need police protection now,” she says.
In the finale of “Germany’s next top model”, the 23-year-old draws the consequences. After the first walk, she throws it away and announces: “I will miss the final.”
Lijana’s life is a “nightmare”
“My life is a total nightmare right now,” the student from Kassel previously said to “Bild”. Police officers would patrol their parents’ home ten times a day. “My address was sent around the net,” explains Lijana.
“I call the criminal police every day,” continues the Hessin. “One on the street who spat at me said: ‘Three million want your death. I can do it now.’ It’s not much missing anymore that somebody flies at some point. “
Fear is your constant companion
The police also accompany them to the GNTM final. Fear is her “constant companion”. “Before, my goal was to win the final. Now I just want to get it over with. I’m really happy when it’s finally over,” said Lijana before the final. Why hadn’t she left GNTM before? She didn’t want to “let this hatred get her down”.
The finalist is also worried about her future as a model. “I have a hard time getting a foothold in the business. I get hated because customers worry that it spills over onto the brand,” she explains.
