Liberec entered the match a bit more actively and after only two minutes of the game he played a power play. Ivan and Klapka had a good chance in that, but Kiviaho was ready. After the end of the numerical advantage, Birner had the leading goal on the hockey stick, but he missed a missed goal. Subsequently, the guests also played a number of advantages, but they did not endanger Kváč at all.

The game then took place mainly in the middle zone and was full of inaccuracies. Only at the end of the first part was the Mountfield team given the opportunity of two more power games in short succession, and Koukal had a promising chance, but Kváča hid his shot in a trap.

At the beginning of the second act, Filippi from Liberec was in a power play close to the leading goal, but his shot only stamped the top bar. And in another minute and a half, the White Tigers even led when Štibingr’s throw from the blue line sailed into the net – 2: 1. It was the first hit in the extra league for the home quarterback.
