Unfortunately, it became an exit for Dina Tersago in the second episode. You only get to hear the handful of other songs she was studying when you ride with her in the car and she sings along to her playlist, something she still does often.

“I am disappointed in myself, but I understood the choice at that moment. The suit hindered my dancing, and that makes you sing more uncomfortable. No matter how well I had prepared myself, it really shocked me. It is difficult to move, your balance is lost. I had the feeling that I couldn’t do what I had to do, while you just have to address people with a total picture. But I secretly hoped to push through, because I knew I still had room for growth, ”she says.

Anyone who doubts how stifling such a suit is, only has to watch the report behind the scenes on VTM Go. It shows how Tersago experiences one of the first rehearsals: captivated and with a tear. “That mask is particularly oppressive. I was also not allowed to turn it off and I was not allowed to speak to anyone. Only during breaks, when employees with fans came to blow wind in our faces. That first time was not a fun experience, but because the entire program is an exciting adventure, you soon think: it’s the broke with the bump.”

She was also able to enjoy the numerous compliments from the panel: “What a beautiful figure that Libelle has, that is certainly a model.” Dina Tersago laughs: “Yes, they eased the pain.”

Lie

Tersago consistently decided not to notify anyone of her participation. Because she had to sign a secrecy, of course. But also never to talk past her mouth, or not to be tempted. “Only Wim (her partner and manager, ed.) was informed. Otherwise, try to coordinate your agendas and work out an arrangement for the children. But even my in-laws didn’t know about it. Not obvious, because we live together in a kangaroo house. So I stood in the garage singing along to the music on my mobile phone, without being able to go all out. ”
