LFF: All Covid-19 performed in Latvian men’s team on Friday are negative – Hockey – Apollo.lv – Sports

LFF reported on Friday that defender Vladislav Sorokin had received a positive test result and that physiotherapist Dmitry Yefremenkov and Vladislav Fyodorov had questionable test results.

In accordance with the provisions of the Sanitary Protocol of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and in consultation with the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPDC), a ten-player risk group has been identified and has been in close contact with them during epidemiological investigations and epidemiological investigations.

Additional testing was performed on this group on Friday before the pre-match training. The participation of these players in further training and in the games of the League of Nations was possible only if a negative analysis result was received.

No separate security measures were imposed on other members of the team, however, after assessing the situation and potential risks, a separate extraordinary testing will be performed on all other members of the national team after the Friday evening training.

“All yesterday’s tests are negative for our national team’s players and staff. Everyone can prepare for tonight’s match with the Faroe Islands,” LFF reports.

Meanwhile, the three above-mentioned persons have left the national training camp and found themselves in accordance with the provisions of the sanitary protocol and the instructions of the SPKC.

In connection with the spread of the virus in Europe, the Latvian national team introduced even stricter safety procedures than stipulated in the UEFA sanitary protocol during the November Games – in addition to the usual mask wearing, disinfection and assembly rules, the team travels on several buses to ensure longer distances, avoid long meals, detained at several separate tables, etc. These measures allow a person to quickly identify their contact persons in case of illness and to limit the further spread of the disease as much as possible.

The Latvian national team still has matches with the Faroe Islands in the UEFA Nations D League on November 14 in Riga and Andorra on November 17, in parallel with repeated extraordinary testing of Covid-19.

An additional round of testing is also planned immediately after the November 14 game.

It has been previously reported that one coach (Mariana Pahara) was diagnosed at the beginning of the November Games, resulting in the isolation of two more members of the coaching corps from the rest of the team, but another member of the service staff did not join the team due to his early Covid-19 testing. the result was classified as questionable.

Two days ago, the Latvian national team won San Marino 3: 0 in a test game.
