Even in a pandemic situation, he said, a healthy, active lifestyle must still be carried out because investing in heart, lung and bone health, from an early age, is important for overall well-being at every stage of life.

“To fight a lifestyle sedentary, it is advisable to do physical activity at least 30 minutes per day 3 to 5 times per week. “Physical activity to fight a sedentary lifestyle can be done anywhere, including at home during a pandemic,” he explained.

If the blood circulation is smooth, he continued, the distribution of oxygen and nutrients throughout the body is more optimal and affects overall health, in order to achieve one of the main pillars of ‘Healthy, Active and Happy’ to get a better quality of life. A person must be active in physical activity from an early age and consume adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D, as an investment so that the bones are solid enough and remain optimal until old age. “Lack of movement (sedentary), lack of physical exercise, or irregular exercise will also reduce pressure on the bones, thereby reducing the formation of new bone and consequently increasing the risk of bone loss or osteoporosis, “he added.
